The NASCAR Hall of Fame Grand Opening broke ground back in 2007 and will be opening for the first time, live, on Wednesday, May 11th. The facility is located in Charlotte, North Carolina and is owed by the City of Charlotte, with total construction costs to build around $160 million dollars. The building is finished and the first wave of inductees will be announced and showcased on Wednesday, May 11th. This is going to be a very exciting event for NASCAR fans and you can watch it live.
Let's take a little tour of the facility. Three floors make up the structure with the first floor containing the Ceremonial Plaza as well as a ramp that matches the Talladega Superspeedway called Glory Road and features information about forty six NASCAR Tracks and showcases eigtheen different cars. There is large hall as well as Studio 43. The Hall of Honor will be on the second floor, with simulators for racecars and transporters and a race week simulation that takes you through everything in a week of NASCAR.
